Carey, who is almost 5'10 she was a popular American models for fashion. Designers of the top calibre, including Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren loved her. Her father was an outstanding geologist who in 1979 was named Scientist of the year from the Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists. Carey went to all over the world because of her father's work. Following her graduation from the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs, she began to model on the side. The idea caught the attention of an agent from Ford Model Agency New York. In 1980, she moved to France and briefly lived in Paris and Bordeaux, before returning in New York in order to explore her modeling career. She appeared on Vogue as well as Glamour cover. Between her modelling assignments she also studied literary studies full-time at New York University. When she began studying acting at Neighborhood Playhouse, New York and began to become interested in acting increased. Her debut as an actor was an appearance with Robin Williams in the 1986 film 'Club Paradise. She enjoys in wind surfing, skiing and rock climbing. She also enjoys white water rafting.
